Utah Fallen Peace Officers

Lasting Engravings had the honor of being able to engrave walking sticks that were auctioned off at the “First Annual Fallen Peace Officer Trail Ride.”  This 14 mile trail was dedicated to the men and women officers who have given their lives or wounded in the line of duty protecting and serving our communities.

The Fallen Peace Officer Trail is located in Moab, Utah, where there is a memorial set up to remember the fallen peace officers.  State Park Ranger Brody Young was recognized when the trail was being dedicated, and he generously named the trail Fallen Peace Officers Trail to remember his fellow co-workers that gave their lives to protect.  Most all the funds raised from the auction during this annual event are given as scholarships to the families of the officers who have died.  Fourteen families were invited to join this year’s event to remember and honor their loved one.

Lasting Engraving would like to thank all of the men and women in the Law Enforcement for all that they do to protect and serve our communities.  You may visit Utah Peace Officers Organization for more information at upoa.org.

If you would like to have something special engraved for one of your loved ones that is serving, please contact Lasting Engraving in Logan, UT, at 435-752-5433.

Cache Education Foundation Presents 2013 Awards

The Cache Education Foundation is such an amazing foundation that helps to raise and distribute funds to Cache County School District schools. Since opening in 1988, they have raised and distributed over 3 million dollars for the students and faculty of the school district. The foundation is managed by an 18 member volunteer board that is so gracious to do this.  The Cache Education Foundation’s mission is “to assist the Cache County School District in providing a quality teaching and learning environment for students through funds and resources received from conscientious community and business members.”  We at Lasting Engraving would like to thank all of the amazing volunteers and donors for making this foundation possible.

One of the awards that the foundation presented to educators this year was the “Hansen Honorarium Award” which is given to one faculty member at both Skyview and Mountain Crest.  This award is funded by Dell Loy Hansen in honor of his mother Belva Hansen who is now a retired teacher.  Students vote on the teacher who has had an impact on their lives and explain how.

Another award they presented is the “Hat’s Off Award.”  Faculty from several different schools received this prestigious award. Nominations for this award are submitted by students, parents, community members, teachers, administrators, PTA and school community councils.  Lasting Engraving in Logan, UT, would like to thank all the teachers who benefit our children even through the barriers they are given.
